This past week all the summer care children participated in a “High Seas Adventure!” They spent time singing songs, making crafts, hearing stories, an eating great snacks. Each day featured a special teaching point. It was awesome to see the children engage in the activities and hopefully grow in love for God! The children also donated money throughout the week for wheelchair distribution to children in need across the globe. It was an awesome adventure this past week.
Sam, the Snack Man!
We have a new helper at Summer Care. Sam, he will be helping at various times with afternoon snack. Sam loves soccer and hanging out with the children at Hope Care. He attends Hope Lutheran Church and is a great role model for young children. We are happy to have Sam spend time with the children during the summer and help serve the snack!

First Week Done!!
The first week of Summer Care is done and everything went smooth. The children did get a little antsy wanting to go to the pool but we will get in plenty of swimming in the weeks ahead. I was quickly reminded during the first week that each child is unique. They each have different personalities and traits. It is so cool to see how God has uniquely created each child. They all respond to things differently and each one has different interests. It is a challenge at times when there are a wide variety of personalities and ages but each child’s uniqueness is a gift!! It should be a great second week with a trip to the zoo and some swimming.
